Fire investigators now say a piece of a vehicle’s brake triggered a brush fire which caused a scare in San Luis Obispo County yesterday.
The blaze started just after 11 a.m. yesterday at the base of Cuesta Grade, outside of San Luis Obispo. It disrupted traffic on Highway 101, as firefighters using helicopters, and air tankers worked quickly to contain it.
It took about four hours to fully control the fire, which burned about ten acres of brush.
No structures were damaged by the blaze.
