Ventura County Animal Shelters Swamped With Stray Dogs In Wake Of Fourth Of July

Posted on Friday, July 12, 2013 12:30am

Ventura County’s animal shelters are swamped, filed to capacity because of dogs which were frightened by Fourth of July fireworks, and escaped from their homes, and yards.

KCLU”S Lance Orozco says the situation is complicated by the fact many of the dogs didn’t have dog tags, or microchips to identify them.
