Los Angeles Dodgers Offer Discounted Tickets To Simi Valley Residents In Wake Of Fireworks Accident

Posted on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 3:58pm

The Los Angeles Dodgers are offering discounted tickets to Simi Valley residents for a game this Friday, to give many of them them a chance to see the fireworks show that didn’t experience in the wake of the July 4th accident in Rancho Santa Susana Park.

The Dodgers are offering discounts of $3.00, to $30.00 per ticket, depending on the regular seat pricing.  The 7:10 game against the Colorado Rockies features a free fireworks show after the game, as a part of the team’s “Friday Night Fireworks” promotions.  People buying tickets online should use the special discount password “Simi.”

More than three dozen people were injured in the July 4th accident at the community’s annual fireworks show, when some of the rockets started flying into the crowd.  The show was immediately stopped.  The State Fire Marshal is now heading the investigation into the accident.
