Water, Wastewater Service Charges Go Up In Ventura To Cover Increased Costs

Posted on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 12:00pm

It’s now costing residents, and business owners in one Ventura County community more for water, and wastewater treatment.

The second phase of a two step increase in rates approved by the Ventura City Council last year took effect in Ventura July first.

The average residential hike for water, and wastewater services will be around $5.00 a month.

The increases are intended to cover rising water treatment costs, to replace aging infrastructure, and cover hikes in electricity for water, and wastewater services.
