Exhibition In Ventura County Featuring Abraham Lincoln Artifacts Drawing Huge Crowds

Posted on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 3:18pm

An exhibition which features artifacts from Abraham Lincoln’s life, as well as props created for the acclaimed movie “Lincoln,” is drawing record crowds in Ventura County.

Crowds at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley have been so large since Lincoln: The Exhibition opened three weeks ago that the museum is offering time specific tickets online, so guests don’t have to face long waits.

The exhibition features artifacts like Lincoln’s stovepipe hat, and watch, some of his writings, a fragment of the coat he was wearing at Ford’s Theater when he was fatally wounded, and the pillow on which he died after he was shot.

There are also costumes, and Oscar winning sets from the DreamWorks movie “Lincoln.”
