Los Angeles Man Arrested For Major Marijuana Cultivation Operations In Ventura County

Posted on Thursday, June 20, 2013 12:31pm

A three month long investigation led to the arrest of a Los Angeles man, who Ventura County Sheriff’s narcotics detectives say operated three separate marijuana growing sites outside of Ojai.

The investigators say they connected Ricardo Juarez Valencia to three large marijuana operations north of Ojai off of Highway 33, with a combined total of more than 6200 plants.

They arrested the 36 year old man at his Los Angeles home, where they say they seized weapons, cash, unprocessed marojuana, and items used for marijuana cultivation.

Detectives say it’s not the first time they’ve arrested Valencia.  He was arrested last year for marijuana cultivation, served a short sentence, and was deported from the U.S., but he apparently returned to the U.S.
