Ventura County firefighters say they reached full containment this morning of a brushfire which charred about 60 acres of rugged hillsides east of Fillmore.
The blaze broke out about a mile east of the city around 3:30 yesterday afternoon. More than 75 firefighters, aided by helicopters and aircraft were able to stop the spread of the fire before sunset. One firefighter received a minor leg injury.
The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
