Some Santa Barbara County residents may soon be paying more for waste disposal services.
Santa Barbara County Supervisors tomorrow are set to look at increasing fees charged for disposal at County operated solid waste management facilities, as well as rates for some residential, and commercial customers.
If the staff recommended rate hikes are approved, residential customers in Montecito, Summerland, the Santa Ynez Valley, and unincorporated parts of the Goleta Valley will see 3% increases. Commercial customers in the same areas would get 4% hikes.
The hikes are intended to offset increased operating costs.
