A series of earthquakes has rocked Santa Barbara County.

No injuries were reported, but the quake knocked items off of some shelves. People reported feeling the quake as far away as the San Fernando Valley. The magnitude was revised upwards from a 4.6, as geologists studied the quake data.

At 7:50, a second, smaller quake occurred in the same area west of Isla Vista. It was reported as a magnitude 2.6 temblor. At 8:30, there was a third quake, which was the same magnitude as the second one, 2.6, and just after noon, a 2.5 quake happened in the same general vicinity.
