Dogs From South Coast Aid In Search For Tornado Victims In Oklahoma

Two dogs recruited from animal shelters on the South Coast are among the search dogs being used to look for survivors of the huge tornado which hit the Moore, Oklahoma area yesterday.

Oklahoma City firefighter Chet Clark is working with his search dog Elvis. The Ventura County based National Disaster Search Dog Foundation found Elvis at a Santa Barbara County Animal Control shelter in Santa Maria.

And, Brent Koeninger, also with the Oklahoma City Fire Department, is searching for trapped victims with his dog Moxie. The Search Dog Foundation found Moxie at the Humane Society’s shelter in Ojai.
