A Ventura County park which features a popular hiking trail, and spectacular coastal views
is planned to be the home of new botanical gardens.
Boosters of the Ventura Botanical Gardens Project in Ventura’s Grant Park envision areas featuring the plants of five Mediterranean climate zones.
This weekend, the non-profit group will showcase its efforts, and raise money for the project when it hosts its second annual Garden Festival at the park.
KCLU’s Lance Orozco takes us to the park, and on a hike up the scenic trail to look at the ambitious plans.
