A paraglider pilot on a trip with a Santa Barbara flying school was seriously injured in a Northern California accident.
The Napa County Sheriff’s Department reports that William Straw had been towed by a boat over Lake Berryessa, and was released when he crashed from about 500 feet.
The tow boat rescued him from the water.
The 68 year old man was taken to a Napa Valley hospital, where he was listed in stable, but guarded condition.
The Sheriff’s Department says Straw was on a trip with Eagle Paragliding in Santa Barbara.
