South Coast High School Placed On Lockdown After Police Say Teen On Capus Claimed To Have Gun

A South Coast high school was placed on lockdown this afternoon, after police say a teenager who didn’t attend the campus refused to leave, and then claimed to have a gun.

Ventura Police say it happened just after one p.m. at Ventura High School. School officials say after it was discovered two teens walking on campus were from Oxnard, and didn’t attend Ventura High, they were told to leave. They say the teens refused, and became confrontational, with one saying he had a gun.

Ventura Police showed up in force, arresting the 15, and 16 year olds, and determined they were unarmed.

They were arrested for being a disrupted presence on a school campus.
