Santa Barbara County Superintendent Of Schools To Receive State Honors

Santa Barbara County’s top schools official is receiving major honors for his three decades of service.

Santa Barbara County Superintendent of Schools Bill Cirone is being honored by the Association of California School Administrators.

Cirone is the longest serving superintendent of schools in the state, first being elected to office in 1982.

He’s been involved in a number of state, and federal projects to improve the quality of education. Cirone will be presented with the administrators Ferd Kiesel Award at a ceremony in November.
