Posted on Saturday, April 6, 2013 12:48am

The planned shutdown of nearly more than 140 airport control towers across the country due to federal budget cuts, including one in Ventura County, is being postponed.

The FAA announced closures set to start this weekend will be pushed back to June, to try to resolve some legal challenges.

The Oxnard Airport control tower is one of the 149 towers slated for closure.
