Simi Valley City Council Makes Choice For New City Manager

Posted on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 12:08am

A Ventura County community has narrowed its search for a City Manager down to one person.

The Simi Valley City Council says it want to hire Eric Levitt, who’s currently the City Manager for Janesville, Wisconsin.

The 45 year old man had more than a decade of experience as a City manager between Janesville, and Sedona, Arizona. City officials say they’re still conducting a background check, and after that, a proposed contract needs to be finalized. That could happen in early April.

If Levitt is hired, he’ll fill the vacancy created by the retirement of longtime City Manager Mike Sedell last summer.
