It’s going to cost more to use some Santa Barbara County recreational facilities, with County Supervisors approving fee hikes to try to cover increased costs.
Camping at Cachuma Lake, and Jalama Beach will go up three dollars a night, and the use of cabins will go up $10.00 a night. Fees would also be added for junior lifeguard programs.
However, day use fees for small events at county parks would actually be reduced, and fees would be waived for students visiting county facilities as a part of school programs.
The hikes are expected to raise an extra $65,000 through the remainder of this fiscal year, and more than $230,000 extra annually in coming years.
