Santa Barbara County Looking At Tough New Steps To Lower Greenhouse Gas Footprint

How far are you willing to go to do something about global warming, and more specifically, greenhouse gas emissions?

Santa Barbara County is trying to tackle that issue, and is looking at some potentially tough new guidelines which could eventually make things like the use of energy efficient materials, and solar water heaters mandatory for new construction, and major remodels.

But, some people say with the sagging economy, this isn’t the time for possible expensive to implement new regulations.

KCLU’s Lance Orozco says the issue create a hot debate, and close vote for Santa Barbara County Supervisors.
