Mysterious Death In Oxnard Now Being Called Murder

An autopsy shows that a woman found dead on an Oxnard street was strangled.

The body of Pamela Silva was found just before 8 p.m. Saturday, on the 1300 block of South E Street in Oxnard.

At the time, police classified the death as suspicious, but are now calling it a homicide.

Investigators say the 42 year old woman was a transient who frequented the Oxnard area. They aren’t talking about possible motives for the killing.
