Statewide Manhunt Underway For Former LAPD Officer Blamed For Killing Spree, Including Former Ventura County Couple

Posted on Thursday, February 7, 2013 8:00am

A former Los Angeles Police officer wanted for the killings of a couple which once lived in Ventura County is now being sought in a massive statewide manhunt for two other ambush attacks.

Authorities think Christopher Jordan Dorner shot to death Keith Lawrence and Monica Quan at their Irvine apartment complex Sunday night.

Lawrence is a former Moorpark College baskeball star, while Quan was once a coach at California Lutheran University, in Thousand Oaks.

They think Lawrence killed the couple as revenge for Quan’s father’s involvement in his firing.

Investigators say that overnight, Dorner wounded a police officer in Corona, and ambushed two Riverside police officers, leaving one of them dead, and a second critically injured.
