Two Ventura County Hospitals Receive Stroke Treatment Certification

Two Ventura County hospitals have received advanced certification for their ability to handle stroke victims.

St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, and St. John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital in Camarillo received Primary Stroke Center Certification.

St. John’s newly accredited stroke program includes an acute stroke team, standardized admission orders, faster turnaround times for key lab results, and special stroke care training for medical personnel, and hospital staff members.
