Two Oxnard Police Officers Injured While Arresting Wanted Man

Two Oxnard Police officers, and the man they were trying to arrest were all injured when they fell down the stairs of an apartment complex during an altercation.

Officers had gone to the 4800 block of Terrace Avenue just before 3 p.m. yesterday to try to arrest Teodulo Duran on a warrant. They say as they tried to take him into custody, there was a scuffle, with the three tumbling down some stairs.

The 33 year old Simi Valley man, as well as the officers were all taken to the hospital for what are being described as minor to moderate injuries.

Duran was arrested for resisting arrest, battery on a police officer, possession of controlled substances for sale, and possession of a narcotics smoking device.
