A free telephone hotline which has helped guide people in Santa Barbara County to health, and human service assistance is in danger of being closed.
The non-profit agency which manages the county’s
2-1-1 service, and picks up the tab for more than a third of operating costs says it can no longer afford to do it.
KCLU’s Lance Orozco reports a March 31st deadline has been set to try to find more funding, or another agency to take over responsibility for the community service.
