Suspicious Man Who Prompted Lockdowns At Two Ventura County Schools Arrested

Posted on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 6:07pm

Two Ventura County elementary schools were placed on lockdown this afternoon, as the result of a search in the area for a man behaving suspiciously.

Simi Valley Police were called to the 4000 block of Apricot Road just after 12 noon.

The suspicious man ran from the area before police could catch him. Santa Susana Elementary, and Pinecrest School both were locked down for about an hour, until it was determined the man was no longer in the area.

Police later arrested Brandon Apperson on the 4400 block of Cochran Street. The 22 year old Simi Valley man was taken into custody for burglary, as well as for two pending warrants.
