Santa Barbara Man Arrested For Shooting Video, Photos Up The Skirts Of Women

Posted on Friday, December 14, 2012 11:12am

A Santa Barbara man has been arrested by police after they say he had hundreds of video files he shot up the skirts of women.

In September, someone saw a man in a Santa Barbara restaurant on the 1200 block of State Street using a small camera to take photos up a female pedestrian’s skirt, without her knowledge. The eyewitness used his own camera to take pictures of the suspect.

Detectives were able to identify the man as Sijifredo Sotelo of Santa Barbara. After getting arrest, and search warrants, they took the 37 year old man into custody this week on invasion of privacy charges.

They say they recovered a memory card with more than 400 video files of female victims, with the video showing in some cases he follow them while shooting for several blocks. Detectives are now trying to identify the victims.
