Rainfall Amounts Light On The South Coast So Far, But More On the Way

Posted on Thursday, November 29, 2012 12:59pm

The first in a series of storms to swing through the South Coast didn’t create heavy rainfall, but much more wet weather is to come.

Rainfall totals so far include .06″ in Santa Barbara, .25″ in Ventura, .9″ of an inch in Ojai, and .17″ in Thousand Oaks. While we could see light showers on and off for the rest of the day, and overnight, the second in a series of three systems is expected to arrive tomorrow afternoon and evening.

It could leave coastal, and inland areas with about a quarter of an inch of rain. Forecasters are still trying to nail down the timing of the third system, which is expected to arrive late Saturday, or early Sunday, and they say that one could drop an inch of rain in much of our region, with higher totals for our mountains.
