A non-profit agency designed to make loans available for affordable housing projects in Ventura County is ready to make some financing available for the first time.
The Ventura County Housing Trust Fund has put together a loan pool of $4 million dollars. The Fund’s Board of Directors says it’s accepting applications for its initial $750,000 in loans. The money can be used for residential, and mixed use developments which include affordable housing units.
The money can be used for things like planning, land acquisition, site development, construction, and rehabilitation.
The trust fund was created in 2006, to try to help provide financing to create more affordable housing in Ventura County.
