A section of the 101 Freeway in Ventura County is going to be completely closed overnight tonight, and for the next few nights due to a bridge widening project.
The closure will take place from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. all week long as part of a project to widen the Wendy Drive overcrossing, in Newbury Park. An additional bridge lane is being added in each direction.
Traffic will be routed off the freeway in both direction onto surface streets, and around the roadwork, but it could result in some delays.
The closures could extend into next week, depending on how the work goes.
The 14 million dollar project is expected to be completed next summer.
