Authorities Say Driver In Double Fatal Auto Crash In Ventura Had Alcohol Level Three Times Over The Legal Limit

Authorities now say that the driver of a minivan involved in a three vehicle collision in Ventura which killed two, and injured two others had three times the legal alcohol limit in her system at the time of the crash.

Laura Stewart and her husband, Henry were both killed in the October 6th crash at the intersection of Victoria Avenue, and Olivas Park drive.

Ventura Police say the 56 year old woman’s blood alcohol content was .24, triple the legal limit of .08. Investigators who re-created the accident say she failed to stop at a red light, and hit a car in the intersection, and the spun into a third vehicle.
