New Non-Profit Center In Ventura County Picking Up Tenants Quickly

Posted on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 12:07am

An effort to create a central home for Ventura County non-profit agencies is apparently taking off quickly.

The Ventura County Community Foundation reports the 53,000 square foot building it bought in Camarillo in July to serve as a non-profit center is already 70 percent leased.

Interface Children & Family Services, and United Way of Ventura County signed leases for more than 23,000 square feet of the Mission oaks Boulevard complex.

The Foundation is offering space in the building at below market rates to other non-profits, to try to create a center where agencies can collaborate with each other, and perhaps even save money by combining some administrative functions.
