Report Of Assault Leads To Big Marijuana Find In Ventura County

A fight over money between two men in Ventura County led to a big maijuana raid.

County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a home on the 3600 block of East Telegraph Road in Piru. Deputies say than Wayne Cain told them he had been knocked down with a car by a business parter, Raymond Grams, in a dispute over wages. Cain wasn’t seriously injured.

During the investigation, deputies discovered there was a marijuana operation at the home. After getting a search warrant, they found more than 500 marijuana plants in several rooms of the house, along with a sophisticated lighting, and fan system to support the indoor garden.

The two San Antonio men were arrested on marijuana cultivation charges, and Grams was also charged with assault on a deadly weapon for the incident involving Cain.
