Local Water District Board Candidate Says Dozens Of His Campaign Signs Were Removed, Destroyed

Posted on Friday, October 19, 2012 4:14pm

A candidate for a local water district board says vandals removed, and tried to destroy dozens of his campaign signs:

Len Polen is a candidate for the Las Virgenes Municipal Water District Division Four seat, and says about 35 of his 140 signs were removed from their locations around the area, and dumped in a basin near Westlake Village.

Polen says they reported the crime to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department, which is investigating the vandalism.

The water district provides service to more than 65,000 in communities including Westlake Village, Agoura Hills, and Calabasas.
