Controversial Wisconsin Governor To Speak In Simi Valley

Posted on Thursday, October 18, 2012 10:50am

Wisconsin’s controversial governor, who cut benefits and collective bargaining rights for state workers in order to save millions of dollars, is going to be speaking in Ventura County.

Scott Walker will appear at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, in Simi Valley November 16th.
Walker was elected as Wisconsin’s governor in 2010.

His controversial efforts to cut benefits, and bargaining rights for state employees prompted a recall election in June, which he survived.

Walker became the first U.S. governor to survive a recall election. He’s speaking at the library as part of a lecture, and dinner series called the Reagan Forum.
