Santa Barbara County officials have issued a warning about potential health impacts stemming from the Lookout brush fire, which has been burning on San Marcos Pass all day.
The Santa Barbara County Public Health Department, and the Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District issued an air quality watch for Southern, and Central portions of the county.
People are being urged to avoid outdoor exercise if they see dust, and particles in the air. People with heart and lung disease, older adults, and children are being urged to limit time outdoors. The watch is in effect through tomorrow morning, and could be extended depending on the fire, and wind conditions.
