You can call this the case of the missing putter.

Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested two men following a string of golfing equipment thefts at three golf courses in Camarillo, and Oxnard.

Thieves were stealing unattended golf bags outside of clubhouses.

One of the victims saw a “for sale” posting for some of his missing equipment online, and contacted Sheriff’s deputies. After a buy was arranged, deputies arrested Richard Holland, of Ventura, and Michael Shumway of Ojai. Investigators say the men were in possession of a number of stolen items, and they found more at the home the men shared.
