Pro Football Legend To Speak On South Coast Tonight About Impacts Of Play Related Concussions

A legendary NFL player who played pro ball for 14 seasons, and is in the Pro Football Hall Of Fame is now one of the sport’s leading advocates for efforts to prevent, and deal with concussions.

Jack Youngblood is appearing in Santa Barbara tonight, for a lecture intended to raise awareness about the issue.

A study of more than a thousand NFL players shows that 60% of them suffered at least one concussion, and more than 25% had three or more. And, another study shows that among those who had three or more concussions, there’s a higher incidence of Alzheimer’s Disease.
