Simi Valley Police Say They’ve Nabbed Two High Tech Burglars

A Simi Valley man, and a Moorpark woman have been arrested on conspiracy, and burglary charges after police say they used a high tech magnet to deactivate store security devices, stealing expensive phones from a Target store.

Simi Valley Police detectives say they used store surveillance video to identify Gerardo Navarette, and Rachel Fitzpatrick as suspects in the multiple burglaries at the target on Tierra Rejada Road. The investigators say merchants should be aware that just because they have electronic monitoring devices, they shouldn’t assume their merchandise is safe from theft.
