Posted on Saturday, September 8, 2012 12:41am

A Los Angeles man has been arrested by Ventura County Sheriff’s detectives, after they say an investigation showed he was offering fradulent Facebook stock for sale.

Detectives were contacted in June by a woman who says she was approached about buying Facebook stock before it was set to go on sale. She was suspicious, and reported the offer to investigators, who say they found Michael Freedman of Los Angeles had numerous phony stock documents in his possession.

The 53 year old man was arrested in Inglewood on an array of charges including grand theft, and attempted grand theft.
