Santa Barbara Man Accused In Homeless Stabbings Ordered To Undergo Competency Hearing

Posted on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 12:04am

A Santa Barbara man accused of stabbing three homeless people in Southern California will undergo a mental competency hearing.

A judge scheduled in August 20th hearing to see if Courtney Anthony Robinson is fit to go on trial.
He’s accused of three separate attacks in the Los Angeles area early this summer, during which prosecutors say he left a note pinned to each victim which said it was a death warrant.

All three victims survived.

The 37 year old man, who also went by the name David Ben Keyes, has been called a person of interest in the stabbings of two homeless men in Santa Barbara, but hasn’t been charged in those cases.

Those two stabbing victims survived their attacks as well.
