Ventura County Man Arrested For Domestic Battery, Criminal Threats After Standoff With Sheriff’s Deputies

It was a tense day yesterday in the Casitas Springs area of Ventura County after a domestic violence call led to a standoff between County Sheriff’s deputies an armed man, who eventually surrendered.

Deputies were called to the 3300 block of Casitas Springs Road just before 10 yesterday morning. The suspect in the incident had fled the home, buy a County Sheriff’s Department helicopter spotted David Moles in a nearby off road vehicle area, armed with a gun.

Deputies shut down Casitas Pass Road, and negotiated with the 48 year old man, who surrendered several hours later. No one was hurt.
