Shark Attack On Sea Lion Leads To Warnings At Some Of The South Coast’s Most Popular Beaches

Posted on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 9:59am

There’s a shark warning in effect this morning for some of the South Coast’s most popular beaches.

An injured sea lion was spotted off of Santa Barbara’s East Beach yesterday morning, and marine experts determined it had been attacked by a shark, most likely a Great White.

KCLU’s Lance Orozco reports the warning affects nine beaches in Santa Barbara County, including some of the most heavily used ones.
