New Study To Look At Needs Of Women In Ventura County

Posted on Monday, July 23, 2012 2:51pm

What are the needs of girls, and women in Ventura County? And, are they being met?

That’s the focus of what’s being called a landmark study now underway in the county.

The Study on The Status Of Women will investigate some basic concerns like decision making and politics, employment and wages, basic needs like education, economic and social independence, and health. The Ventura County Commission on Women is spearheading the study, which is being conducted by the consulting firm K and M Enterprises.

Females make up just over 50% of the county’s 823,000 residents.

The study is expected to take a little more than two months.
