Posted on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 10:03am

Authorities are now identifying a man who died after falling off a raft, and drowned in a small lake in Camarillo.

The accident happened just after noon on Sunday, on the 1600 block of east Bridgeport Lane. Ventura County firefighters called to the scene pulled off their uniforms, and jumped into the lake, finding and pulling Paul Dithazy from under the surface.

The 49 year old man wasn’t breathing, but they were able to revive him.

Officials are now saying the Camarillo man died at a hospital on Monday. They have ruled the death accidental, buy say alcohol was a factor in the drowning.
