Ventura Police trying to track down the driver of a stolen vehicle after a short pursuit ended up with a lot more than they were looking for, when the suspect led them to a wanted man.
Just after one this morning, a Ventura Police officer on patrol noticed a vehicle reported stolen being driven on Oak Street, near Main Street.
When the officer tried to stop it, the vehicle sped away, but was then abandoned by its driver a few blocks away.
Neighborhood residents directed officers to a home on the 100 block of South Laurel Street.
Police arrested the driver, 19 year old David Gallimore of Ventura. But, they say they also found, and arrested Shea Murdock of Ventura, who was wanted on an outstanding warrant. Plus, they arrested a parolee in the house, identified as John Hickman, who refused to come out when ordered to do so, and had to be captured with the help of a K-9.
