Authorities are now identifying a man killed in what authorities are calling a DUI crash in Ventura County, an accident which led to the arrest of the vehicle’s driver.

Carlos Cordero died in the Wednesday night crash in Piru Canyon Road, near Piru Wednesday night.

The CHP says Glenda Navarro was driving on the road when she failed to make a turn, and her car plunged more than 100 feet down an embankment.

The 18 year old woman was wearing a seat belt, and escaped from the crash with minor injuries. The 24 year old North Hollywood man wasn’t buckled in, and was thrown from the vehicle, suffering fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Navarro was arrested for vehicular manslaughter, and on a DUI charge.
