Posted on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 3:14am

An autopsy shows that a 75 year old Ventura County woman murdered in her Simi Valley apartment died from multiple traumatic injuries, including stab wounds.

Isabel Hernandez was founded dead in her Patricia Avenue apartment Sunday afternoon by Simi Valley police, who had been called by worried relatives who had been unable to reach her. Officers forced their way inside her apartment, where they found her body.

Detectives arrested her grandson, 23 year old Gustavo Rios, for the killing. He had just been released from jail after serving a short sentence for vandalism.

Investigators aren’t talking about what they think the motive was in the murder.

Police say Rios lived in the Simi Valley area, but was a transient.
