A Ventura County teenager has been arrested by Santa Paula police, after officers say he pulled a gun on them, and started shooting.
It happened at around noon on Friday. Officers on patrol say they stopped a teenager for crossing against the stoplight at Harvard Boulevard, and Olive Street. They say as they were talking to the 17 year old boy, he pulled out a gun and started shooting.
The officers returned fire, hitting the boy in the hand. The teen fled, but was arrested about two hours later on the 100 block of Santa Anna Street.
After being treated for his injuries, the teen was arrested for two counts of attempted murder of a police officer. Police say the teen is a known gang member who was already on probation, and was wanted for other crimes.
