Posted on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 3:49pm

Former pro baseball star, and longtime Ventura County resident Lenny Dykstra has reached a plea deal in federal court over bankruptcy fraud, and embezzlement charges.

Prosecutors say that after filing for bankruptcy, Dykstra had sold, hidden, or otherwise disposed of hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of items without the permission of a bankruptcy trustee. The terms of the plea deal haven’t been released.

The former New York Mets, and Philadelphia Phillies player is already serving a three year prison term after pleading no contest to charges of filing a false financial statement, and for grand theft auto.

Before filing for bankruptcy in 2009, he once lived on a multi-million dollar estate in the Lake Sherwood area which he bought from hockey legend Wayne Gretsky.
