New Wildfire Study Shows Land Use Planning Should Be Considered In Reducing Future Brushfire Danger

Posted on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 12:29pm

We live in wildfire country. From the Tea, and Jesusita brushfires in Santa Barbara County, to monster blazes which burned across the Santa Monica Mountains, from Thousand Oaks to Malibu, the blazes destroyed hundreds of homes, and changed lives forever.

KCLU’s Lance Orozco talks with the lead researcher in the just published study, which looked at factors in the loss of more than 5,000 homes to brushfires.
