Drug Lab Discovered At Scene of Ventura Apartment Complex Explosion, Fire

Authorities say a drug lab has been discovered at the scene of an explosion, and fire at a Ventura apartment complex which left a teenager with serious burns.

The incident was reported just before six last night, in an eight unit apartment building on the 700 block of South Hill Road.
Ventura firefighters were able to contain the fire to two units.

A 17 year old boy suffered second degree burns on his hands, and face.

Ventura Police on the scene say they noted evidence of a possible drug lab, and after getting a warrant, say they found a marijuana to has extraction lab, as well as drug paraphernalia.

Fire investigators haven’t said whether they think the lab was responsible for the blast, and fire.
